Louisa von Essen is a Junior Communications Advisor at Climate & Company. She re-joined the team in 2023 to work on strategic communication in the context of our biodiversity, sustainable land-use and anti-deforestation projects with a focus on strategic outreach to EU institutions. In her position, Louisa mostly supports our project on Sustainable Finance Instruments for Sustainable Land Use funded by the Gordon E. and Betty I. Moore Foundation.
Louisa is currently doing her Masters in Political Communication at the Heinrich-Heine Universität Düsseldorf and holds a B.Sc. in Public Governance across Borders and European Studies from the University of Twente and the Universität Münster. Her academic research focuses on public and policy discourse on AI. She has previously interned at the European Parliament and worked as Junior Communications Officer at Climate & Company from 2021-2022.
In her free time, she likes to go running and swimming, enjoys nature and photography and visits her friends all over Europe.
