Christian Bakken
Christian currently lives in Lund, Sweden, where he is a second-year Master’s student at Lund University in Environmental Management and Policy. Originally from the United States, he received his Bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy from Georgetown University, with a thesis examining the intersection of renewable energy public investment and geopolitical security. During his Bachelor’s, he interned with Standard Chartered Bank in New York City. Following his Bachelor’s, he worked for three years at KPMG doing corporate tax planning and federal healthcare consulting.
While at Lund, he has participated in multiple business consulting projects and spent summer 2020 interning with the U.S. Department of Energy researching energy efficiency financing methods. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, baking, and playing piano and trumpet.
