Joint international letter from Organised Civil Society and Think Tanks on the EUDR

Launch of a joint letter on the new EU regulation for deforestation-free products (EUDR)

Led by Amigos da Terra – Amazonia Brasileira, Imaflora, Climate & Company, and signed by a total of 17 civil society organisations (NGOs, think tanks, academia), the letter reinforces the importance of deforestation-free chains and the implementation of the EUDR in an inclusive way.  The group identifies three priority areas for action:

1. Enhance regulatory cooperation between the European Union (EU) and partner countries;
2. Enable financing for the transition;
3. Support national traceability initiatives in producer countries.
