In the light of the upcoming COP16 on Biodiversity in Colombia, Climate & Company is hosting a webinar: COP16 Countdown – The Role of Finance in the Global Biodiversity Framework – supported by data pioneer Global Canopy and the Swedish Pension Fund AP2.

With the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) ratified in Montreal in 2022, the “Paris Agreement for Nature” extends its reach beyond governments and calls on the financial industry to monitor, assess, and disclose biodiversity-related risks within their operations, supply chains, and portfolios. It also calls for financial flows to be aligned with the goals of the framework. As at COP15, there will be a dedicated finance day at COP16. Among other things, we hope to see a shift from pledges to action by governments and the financial industry.
