Climate & Company, in partnership with Global Canopy, explore the intersection of finance and deforestation, showing how the finance sector can accelerate action in this crucial issue.

The finance sector has a critical role to play in the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) which demands the industry actively monitors, assesses, and discloses biodiversity-related risks within their operations, supply chains, and portfolios. Yet in areas like deforestation action is still insufficient: 75% of major financial institutions lack a deforestation policy.

This panel will show how financial institutions can lead the way on deforestation, highlighting the extensive data, platforms and guidance that enable real change. It will focus on real world examples of accelerating action with existing tools, and hear from financial institutions who are trying to make a difference.
