A new Economic Governance for the EU Green Deal?
April 1, 2022
The European Union urgently needs to transform its economy to meet climate and energy challenges. But are the EU’s current economic governance framework, with the European Semester, and the climate and energy regulatory framework, fit to meet this challenge? This is the central question of this online conference, funded by the European Climate Foundation.
We are delighted to count as our speakers for this event:
- Mihails Kozlovs, Dean of Chamber IV of the European Court of Auditors
- Reinhard Felke, Director of Policy Coordination, Economic Forecasts and Communication at the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN.A) of the European Commission
- Dr. Astrid Klesse, Deputy Director General for General Economic Policy, Federal German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action
- Tim Gore, Head of the Low Carbon and Circular Economy programme at the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP)
Join us during this event and together with experts on economic and climate governance frameworks, relevant decision makers and stakeholders at national and EU level, we will continue the ongoing discussions on how to reform the economic governance framework for the goal of climate neutrality. We are looking forward to having you!
