Daniel Scharwies
Daniel joined Climate & Company as Junior Analyst in July 2021, but has since been promoted to Project Manager. In this capacity, he is involved in project management and analysis, where he advises governments in Africa, Asia and Latin America in the development of national sustainable finance taxonomies and helps enhance sustainable finance instruments for biodiversity protection and sustainable land use. He is also one of the co-authors of the influential “When Finance Talks Nature” report, published by the WWF and Climate & Company, which was presented at the 2022 United Nations Biodiversity Conference in Montreal, Canada.
Daniel has a degree in International Studies from Leiden University in the Netherlands, and has gained professional experience in climate finance at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction in Panama City, as well as the Dutch Platform for Inclusive Finance.
