David Rusnok

David has worked at KfW Bankengruppe for almost 20 years. With DEG (Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH, the private arm of KfW Bankengruppe) he has implemented development projects with private enterprises and financing institutions. For the KfW Carbon Fund, David has developed CDM projects especially with companies in Latin America and supported their implementation, mainly in Brazil. On behalf of KfW’s Development Bank, he has successfully supported projects in nature conservation, marine and coastal protection, biodiversity projects and agricultural projects with government partners and non-governmental institutions in Latin America.

David holds a degree in political science and economics and has completed postgraduate training at the German Development Institute. David is a passionate hobby chef, he is married and has four children.

July 10, 2020 - We assessed in how far the European Commission's recovery plan and budget proposal “Next Generation EU“ has the potential to live up to the expectation of providing the budgetary backbone for a swift and meaningful implementation of the green deal (and a sustainable recovery).On behalf of Agora Energiewende, we assessed in how far the European Commission's recovery plan and budget proposal “Next Generation EU“ has the potential to live up to the expectation of providing the budgetary backbone for a swift and meaningful implementation of the green deal (and a sustainable recovery). At the core of our analysis was the amount of climate-funding in the different budget proposals that could contribute to decarbonising the building, electricity, industry and transport sector (which contribute with approximately 80% to the EU’s entire carbon emissions).
